Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
